An early George III slant front bureau from Kent, England, c.1750. Raised on bold, low bracket feet. Original drawer pulls. Desk lid with replaced hinges and later escutcheon. The simple interior has a Victorian inlaid replacement prospect door, flanked by a pair of document drawers, 6 pigeon holes with arched valances above six drawers. 36 1/2" w., 20 1/4" 39" h., 29 1/4" writing height.
