Elegant Chinese export coromandel 4-screen panel screen, 18th-early 19th century, Qing Dynasty. The thin boards lacquered, painted, and carved into a brilliant scene of figures before a large landscape screen. Black and ivory with soft polychrome. Reverses to a splendid ivory landscape. Inscription both sides. Once with pin hinges. Has been hung as separate panels for over 50 years. Minor fracture lines & edge chips commensurate with age. Each panel: 71 3/4" h., 15 3/4" w., 7/16" d.
